This class is interactive, hands-on, diverse and challenging. Students discover the amazing design that exists from atoms and DNA to humans as we study all the kingdoms of living things.

Class will be lab-focused with dissections, along with many experiments and frequent microscope use.  Students are expected to prepare for class by reading (or listening to audio) text beforehand and completing required work.

CLASSROOM GOALS:
We will come to class prepared to apply our understanding with hands-on labs and dissections.  We will take notes and do various activities in addition to the labs from the textbook, to help us understand the concepts as well.

SCIENCE HOMEWORK:
Your child will be required to read the assigned text each week and record main points in their Student Notebook.  Study guides and practice problems are extremely helpful and should be completed as prep for module tests and/or quarterly exams. The study guides are free to print on the Berean website, in addition to being in the textbook.

Module tests are required to be completed at home, turned in, and will be graded upon completion of each module. Quarterly Exams will be held in the classroom. I do encourage you to email me with any questions throughout the year.
