Caitlin Simon - Elementary Science

I feel so blessed to be teaching elementary science at Journey again this year! I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I taught as an elementary teacher in Southern Minnesota for five years before leaving the profession to be closer to family and friends. My hope and prayer for every child is that they not only develop a deep love for learning but they will also grow in their journey of faith while in my classroom. I believe the beauty of science is that you can see God everywhere in it! It is such a gift to share this with your children! I live in New Richmond with my husband, Josh, and three children: Gabriella (10), Charlie (9) and Jack (7). In my free time I enjoy cooking/baking, homeschooling my children, gardening, reading, hosting, creating and traveling! My son Charlie was born profoundly deaf so American Sign Language (ASL) is used at our house. I plan on sharing this beautiful language with our young science students through ASL vocabulary that relates to topics covered in class. So, students get ready to get your hands moving through experimentation, creation, investigation and ASL!
