Erin Walejko NEW TEACHER ~ Elementary Communication Skills NEW CLASS
Hello families! I am delighted to begin my first year at The Journey as both a teacher and a parent! I live in Hudson with my husband and our two young boys. This year, I will be teaching Communication Skills, where students will learn about and improve the ways they express themselves and connect with others. I received my Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at UW-Eau Claire. I then spent nine years at an elementary school as a speech-language pathologist until I was pulled to begin our homeschooling journey. In the school setting, I appreciated seeing the uniqueness of each student and finding ways to support them. Outside of school, I love spending time in nature where I can take in the beauty of God's creations. I enjoy hiking with my family, traveling, swimming, kayaking, and reading outside together. I also find joy in caring for babies and young children; hearing their early language develop and watching them learn about the world around them. I am so excited to begin this year together!
