About Tim

I am excited to be teaching middle and high school history at The Journey Co-op! I graduated from the University of Northwestern with a degree in Ancient and Classical Languages and History. I consider myself a perpetual student, and my primary areas of focus over the past ten years have been Ancient Egypt, Medieval Japan, and Church history. Although I was formally schooled growing up, as a confirmed autodidact I’ve been informally homeschooling myself since about the second grade. I live in Brooklyn Park with my daughter and son. In my spare time, I read, hike, tend my orchard, study Japanese, and serve as my family's (self-appointed) genealogist.
